Healthy Paneer Recipe

This can be used as a sabzi / curry by itself or as a filling. I used it as a filling for a besan chilla (fooda in Gujarati, or is it phuda? I never agree with the transliteration of most Gujarati anyway, like it should really be Gujrathi and Gujrath but hey, not my call).

Servings: 4

Nutrition per serving:

Ingredient

  • 16 oz Paneer, diced

  • 2 cups yogurt

  • 1/2 an onion, chopped

  • 1/2 tomato, chopped

  • 1 jalapeno (optional), diced

  • 2 tsp cumin

  • 2 tsp red chili powder (or less or none depending on spice-level preference)

  • 2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 TB olive oil

How to make it:

Marinate paneer in the yogurt and spices with a teaspoon of salt for 10-30 minutes. Heat pan with the olive oil. Throw in the paneer mix and sautee for 10-15 minutes depending on how much of the liquid you want.
